NC is preparing AION 2 for Early Access with an open Launch Scale Test scheduled for September 17 and 18. The event provides a restricted version of the game for players while NC evaluates its server infrastructure. It is also a convenient way for newcomers to get familiar with Aion 2 Items before the permanent version becomes available.
Everyone Can Join
The Launch Scale Test is open to all players. No invitation, registration, or special key is needed, and participants can choose between Steam and PURPLE.
Opening the test to the broader community gives NC a larger population with which to examine its infrastructure. A high volume of simultaneous players can help reveal technical issues before Early Access and the full release.
Pre-Download Is Available
Players can pre-download the test build from September 16 at 6 AM PT until September 17 at 6 AM PT. Completing this step early should make it easier to enter the game when testing begins.
The first session runs from 6 AM to noon PT on September 17. The second session takes place from noon to 6 PM PT on September 18. Since the sessions are limited, players should plan accordingly if they want to participate.
Progress Carries Between Sessions
One useful feature is the ability to carry progress from the first session into the second. Players can continue developing their temporary characters rather than restarting when Friday’s session opens.
That continuity ends after the Launch Scale Test. NC will wipe the test data, and none of the progress will transfer to Early Access or the full release.
The level cap is set at 37, which prevents access to content designed for characters above that level and keeps testing within a defined range.
No Purchases or Trading
The game’s economic features are heavily restricted during the event. Purchases will be disabled, including the shop, Quna, passes, memberships, and other payment systems.
Players will also find the Marketplace and Quna Exchange unavailable. Direct player-to-player trading is disabled as well, so participants cannot test the normal item exchange systems.
Customization Is Limited Too
Founder’s Pack items cannot be accessed during the test. The Closet feature is also disabled, leaving participants with default outfits.
These restrictions mean that the test will not fully represent the customization and economic options available in the final game. Instead, the event concentrates on core gameplay and infrastructure testing.
Steam Players Need to Reinstall
After the test, Steam users will need to uninstall the Playtest application and separately download AION 2 for Early Access on September 30. This additional step is important for players planning to continue immediately after the test period.
PURPLE players do not need to take additional action. Their transition is therefore simpler, although both groups are preparing for the same Early Access period.
Moving Toward the Live Economy
The Launch Scale Test is ultimately a temporary environment, and players should not expect their characters or rewards to survive the wipe. The live game will introduce permanent progression and a much broader economy. Players researching their launch options may eventually encounter buy Aion 2 Items services as the player marketplace develops.
Until then, the September sessions are best used as a practical introduction to AION 2. Players can explore the available content, check how the game performs on their preferred platform, and gain familiarity with the opening experience before permanent progression begins.
Get the Aion 2 Items you need from u4n.com and spend less time farming and more time improving your character, upgrading gear, and enjoying your next adventure.
